Sprinkle the chicken with salt and pepper to taste.

It originally had eggs and crayfish, but its present form has neither. First, brown the chicken over medium heat and then add the onions and garlic; sauté until golden brown. Heat the oil in a large flameproof casserole dish and stir-fry the mushrooms until they start to soften.
